Crossfire
Cable checking utility for the trigger
William Badgett, Richard Cross
Overview
- Fires single charge injector, reads out TECs
- Checks BCAL miscablings in 2 minutes
- Should check the whole CAL in 5 minutes
- FCAL/RCAL check scheduled when recabled and readout is available
Results
- 7 miscablings in BCAL
- 1 broken cable HAC
- A 4 cable swap in BCAL module 9 - Whole tower
- 5 swaps of 1 of a pair of TSC inputs - 4 HAC 1 EMC
- All between same type of cell, EMC or HAC
- All within same module
Implications
- All swaps within the same BCAL module
- Should effect IsoMu efficiency
- We are looking into how long cables were swapped
- Crossfire utility should prevent all future miscablings if it is
run after every access.
