To remotely start clocks from the CFLTP rather than the GFLT:
telnet cfltp.desy.de
(no account necessary; contact CFLT group for password)
type: mode 2
In mode 2, the CFLTP provides a locally generated clock for the
CFLT system. Digital tests such as PERFECTION or ADDER_TEST can
be run in this mode. However, in mode 2 the CFLT will be out of
synch with the calorimeter DAQ and the rest of Zeus; therefore,
no analog tests or triggers can be taken in mode 2.
If the GFLT will be turned off (or will not be providing clocks),
it is IMPERATIVE that the CFLTP be put into mode 2, or the CFLT
must be turned off!
The powerup command will also put the CFLTP in mode 2.
NB: mode 2 is preferable to turning off the CFLT.
To accept clocks generated by the GFLT, for data acquisition:
telnet cfltp.desy.de
type: mode 0
When initializing the trigger for data acquisition, the CONFIGURE
command must also be executed from CFLT02 to complete the CFLTP
initialization. If the CFLTP has been powered off, a CONFIGURE -D
will be necessary. For more information, see the power up section.
